Job Description:

Mate of Towing aboard our vessels are responsible for the safe navigation of ITB Vessels wherever they are called to service. A Mate at ITB works directly with the Master of our vessels as their second in command.

Duties:

Voyage planning. Ability to direct the deck crew to safely transit, and moor company vessels.

Standing watch aboard fully crewed Tugs 12 hours a day at 6 hour shifts. Administrative duties as directed by the Master of the vessel.

Applicants must be able to lift and carry up to 75lbs safely, be able to ascend ladders of approximately 20’ and have basic a mechanical understanding of systems aboard ITB vessels.

Qualifications:

Valid USCG license with towing endorsement. Minimum of 100 GRT or more- Near Coastal endorsement preferred. Driver’s license, TWIC and Passport and the ability to transit to and from Canadian Ports.
